About SIDS

 

SIDS is a non-governmental, nonprofit making social development organization.

SIDS Nepal was established in 2051 BS (1994 AD) by a team of active professionals with long experience in the field of integrated community development, Education, Health and WASH, Infrastructure Development,  Livelihood/Poverty Reduction, Micro Finance/Cooperative, Women & Child Protection, Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and Climate Change Adaptation (CCA), Good Governance, Biodiversity.

Organizational Structure :

SIDS Nepal in Sindhuli operates under the oversight of its highest authority, the Annual General Assembly (AGM), comprising the organization’s general members. The AGM sets policy directions, approves plans, budgets, and programs, and elects a seven-member Executive Committee, also known as the Board, every five years. The Executive Committee acts on behalf of the AGM, ensuring the organization’s efficient and effective functioning. A three-member Recruitment Committee, appointed by the Executive Committee, oversees staff recruitment to ensure adherence to organizational policies on workforce diversity and gender representation. Daily operations are managed by the Executive Committee and a team consisting of a Program Manager, Finance and Administrative Coordinator, and Program Coordinators. SIDS Nepal adheres to national laws and regulations, governing its activities through its constitution, guidelines, and policies. Financial and administrative matters are regulated by internal policies, while a three-member Procurement Committee, appointed by the Executive Committee, oversees the procurement process and provides feedback to the program team.
